What do I wear?
A lot of this will depend on the style of photo you need. For most portraits like engagement photos, family or group shots, clothing without large logos or busy patterns is recommended. Also black can sometimes take away from details. Another option is to bring multiple outfits to provide more options.
For some headshots or business related portraits, company logos or designs work well. Just remember with brands or logos, your picture will now be dated.
Indoors or outdoors?
Outdoor photography tends to be the most creative. For family or couples, outdoor is preferable. If there is a special place you would like to use, no problem. We do have suggestions and recommendations for locations available.
For the days when Mother Nature just doesn’t cooperate, we can move indoors with studio lighting and portable flash. Family portraits that include the family surroundings add to the memory.
When shooting headshots, indoors works great. We have different portable background for different affects and styles. Corporate headshots look great on location and is also a wonderful option.
Do you travel?
Yes! We are based in Round Rock, TX. We will visit areas outside the greater Sacramento area, but depending on the distance and travel times, it may require additional costs.
How will I receive my images?
All edited images will be provided by digital downloads. Your images will be high quality, printable images in full color and black and white per request. In some cases, stylized or artistic versions will also be included. Automotive and product photography usually involves stylizing to achieve a unique look and feel. This can be discussed before hand during the consultation.
What if I need prints?
We work with professional print labs. Cost is determined by the size and number of copies. Quotes are on an individual basis. We also offer canvas prints. These add character and style to your favorite shots. In most cases, canvas prints are less expensive since you normally don’t need to frame them.
Is there a better time to photograph?
Yes! The rule of thumb is in the evening. This is the hour just before the sun sets. It is the preferred time for outdoor photos. If an earlier shoot is needed, we can adjust and still produce great shots with lighting.
What about images for social media?
We can help with most online and social media sites. We specialize in profile pictures for a business Facebook page or LinkedIn, as well as popular dating sites. A professional well lit profile picture will always work better than the bathroom cell phone selfie.
